Inkscape

AxiDraw Extension

To install from AxiDraw.

Once installed, the function Extensions > AxiDraw Utilities > Hershey Text... converts a selected text field into Hershey letters, a font made for plotting.

GCodetools Extension

GCodetools is already included in Inkscape and is something to be explored…

vpype

Alternatively vpype can be used to generate text as well.
